Huzzah!
The original protest symbol. The year the Crown got it wrong.
1765. Not 1776.
This is the year the British Parliament passed the Stamp Act, demanding a tax on every piece of paper in the colonies. No representation? No problem.
The colonists didn't just complain; they organized. They burned effigies. They formed the Sons of Liberty. And a newspaper printed a political cartoon that would haunt the British Empire: a skull and crossbones with the words, "Here is the place to affix the stamp."
An original resides in the Library of Congress to this day.
The image was a threat. A warning. It was the moment the revolution went from a debate to a rebellion.
This shirt is for the history nerd who knows the real dates. For the rebel who understands that defiance starts long before the first shot is fired. For anyone who believes that when the government overreaches, the only logical response is creepy art and a very bad attitude.
From the pages of Denise Kiernan's OBSTINATE DAUGHTERS to your closet. The Stamp Act. 1765. The year Patriots said "No."
Now, ahem, regarding this T-shirt:
This T-shirt is everything you've dreamed of—and more. It feels soft and lightweight, with the right amount of stretch. It's comfortable and flattering for all.
And yes, this UNISEX style works for gentlemen as well.
