Daggyland Short Stories (paperback)

The three Daggyland collections are the quickest way to grab my published short stories. (10 stories in each book, for a total of 30.) Most of these stories were first published in major publications such as Ellery Queen's and Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazines.

Beyond that, one collection—Arm of Darkness—consists of 6 stories of horror.

Two of the stories found in Daggyland collections are available separately:

  • Preston the Provider is a science fiction time travel novella—longer than a short story but not a long as a novel.
  • "Bloody Signorina" is a short story that first ran in Hitchcock's, and was a finalist for a mystery award.

Behind the Story...

When I was a kid, I wrote short stories and mailed them out to various magazines, hoping to get my big break. Mostly I just collected rejection slips. I almost let the dream die...until I reached my forties. That's when I started sending stories out again. To my delight they were accepted by some of the best mystery magazines in the world. You will find many of those stories in these collections. Enjoy!
