Some years ago, a crazy idea took hold in my mind and wouldn’t let go: What if Santa Claus was a woman? How would that change the story behind that treasured myth from childhood?

The story, as it developed, borrows as much from history as the world of fantasy. An orphan human raised by faeries. A woman with the power to search the hearts of children, to know their secrets and their pain. A young, passionate witch who had a fierce desire to remake the world as a just and good place.

The result is Sorceress Kringle and its prequel story, Icemaster of New-York.
